100 things about me

01. i was born in the Chinese year of the ram.
02. my star sign is Leo, but i am not a 'typical' one.
03. my favourite colours are purple and pink....
04. but apparently my aura colour is blue.
05. i used to have a rabbit, who lived indoors (and now help Poppy look after her pet rabbit).
06. before having the twins, i used to work as a nursery nurse in a special needs unit.
07. i choose jobs that i enjoy rather than ones which pay good money.
08. i am especially interested in autism (and now ironically have a severely autistic child).
09. i would love to run my own special needs nursery or therapy centre one day.
10. i know quite a bit of sign language (BSL, Makaton and baby sign).
11. i have one younger sister, who i get on with really well.
12. i am close to my immediate family, but rarely see my extended family.
13. i am the only one in my family to have brown hair with blue eyes, everyone else either has brown/brown or blonde/blue.
14. i used to wish my wavy hair was straight, but now i am happy with it.
15. i have never dyed my hair.
16. i think i was a lot prettier as a child than i am as an adult.
17. i have been described as a combination of Angelina Jolie, Katie Holmes, with a little bit of Keira Knightley mixed in (and some people say i look a little like Liv Tyler).
18. i do not have lots of friends, but once i make a friend i tend to be close to them for a very long time.
19. i crave physical touch from those i am close to.
20. if i were an animal i would be a butterfly (and this is also my symbol as a sub).
21. it was my childhood dream to learn to ride a horse, which i have begun to fulfilling now as an adult (time permitting).
22. i am scared of dogs, spiders and moths.
23. i really enjoy living in the countryside, but i need to also be fairly close to a town.
24. my favourite flowers are lilies, orchids and irises.
25. i love the look of fresh snow, before anyone has walked in it (and the crunch as you step in).
26. i love the smell of freshly-cut grass and wet pavements.
27. i am a chocoholic.
28. i have a weakness for Ben & Jerry's icecream, especially the Phish Food flavour.
29. i have been known to order 3 puddings and no main course in a restaurant (but Sir wouldn't allow that now).
30. i like Indian, Chinese and Thai food, but nothing too spicy.
31. my speciality dishes are home-made lasagna, chicken stir-fry and banana bread.
32. i dislike mints, coffee and tomatoes.
33. i love cashew and pistachio nuts and probably eat far too many.
34. i love reading and buying books (including on my Kindle/ iPad).
35. i rarely watch any television at all, but i am a big fan of Big Brother, Friends and Lost.
36. i love the 'Lord of the Rings' films and books.
37. i have a teensy crush on Orlando Bloom.
38. i am a real sucker for anything romantic.
39. i love to give presents and see the look on people's faces when they open them.
40. i also like receiving presents, especially surprise ones.
41. i love pretty dresses and underwear with nice shoes and handbags....
42. but i also like slouching around in combats and jeans, when allowed to.
43. i like to have painted toenails, because it makes me feel prettier somehow.
44. i sing and hum to myself a lot.
45. i don't cry very often, and only for good reason....
46. but i am quick to laugh and smile, and do so lots of times in a day.
47. i tend to wiggle when i am happy.
48. when i am excited i find it impossible to keep still, and end up bouncing everywhere.
49. i blush really easily.
50. i am shy and lacking in self-confidence.
51. i used to rely on other people's judgements of me rather than my own, but i have got better with this.
52. i need to know that other people are pleased with me and i love to be a 'helper'.
53. i have always been able to read other people's feelings.
54. i hate arguments and confrontations (but am getting better with being an 'op' in an online chatroom).
55. i am happy to spend long amounts of time by myself (but rarely get the chance now with 3 young children!).
56. my brain loves numbers (e.g. pi).
57. i have a really good memory, and often find myself remembering odd little facts....
58. this meant i did well at school and got into a grammar school.
59. my thyroid gland doesn't work properly....
60. this makes me cold and sometimes tired.
61. my thumbs are double-jointed and can move in weird ways.
62. ideally i need 8 hours sleep each night to function properly, but am learning to live with less! 
63. i have always slept naked in bed (and am now required to).
64. i have a tendency to lose things like keys all the time.
65. i am allergic to cats.
66. i have ridden on an elephant in Sri Lanka and a camel in Egypt.
67. i love Asia and would like to visit lots of places there....
68. but i can't imagine living in any country other than England.
69. i sponsor a little boy in El Salvador, and an orang-utan in Borneo.
70. i am bisexual, but far more choosy with women.
71. i was first introduced to BDSM by a boyfriend who wanted to try out elements of bondage and S&M with me.
72. i prefer 'thud' on my bottom and 'sting' on my titties.
73. i love and hate tickling at the same time.
74. it feels more natural for me to sit on the floor rather than on a chair.

77. i prefer to break tasks down into smaller stages and tackle each stage separately, otherwise i can get overwhelmed and discouraged.
78. i much prefer following rather than giving instructions, except with children.
79. i have never learnt to drive a car, although i would like to be able to.
80. i would love to be able to play a musical instrument, and to sing better.
81. i have never learnt to whistle.
82. i hate taking part in any sports, except for walking, swimming and yoga/pilates.
83. i love watching gymnastics and ice-skating.
84. my favourite season is autumn, but i really hate the winter.
85. i love 'events' like Christmas and Easter and birthdays.
86. i used to be scared of fireworks, unless i was at a display watching them.
87. i can wake myself up from a dream if it is getting too scary.
88. i like walking in the rain, so long as it's not windy as well.
89. i used to love going camping when i was younger.
90. my inner child can be very active, and i like indulging my childish streak when i get the chance.
91. i love all kinds of shopping except food shopping.
92. i would be lost without my laptop, but hardly ever use my mobile phone.
93. my dream is to get a jacuzzi or hot tub, but i think it would be hard to get me out of it.
94. as well as my wedding and engagement rings, i have two other rings which i always wear, given to me by my parents on my 18th and 21st birthdays.
95. i am good at putting on an innocent look....
96. but i am a rubbish liar.
97. i wish i had the confidence to try things like bungee jumping and white-water rafting.
98. i have a bit of a 'thing' for soldiers, and used to love anything to do with the SAS.
99. the things i look for first on a man's body are strong thighs, big hands and expressive eyes (and i also love a firm ass and a good happy trail).
100. i have only had a few serious relationships, but each lasted quite a while.
