We did it!

Well we finally got married after all that waiting and dreaming and preparing, and it was a truly wonderful day, even better than i dared hope it would be. Feeling very happy but also quite tired today, so am going to save the big post with all the details for another day, but i did take the time to make a photo slideshow to give everyone an idea of what our big day was like (none of the photos are of the actual items because Sir won't let me post those, but they're all the exact item or very similar to the ones we had). Enjoy!

i'm getting married!

i was going to start this blog post off by apologising for the lack of posting recently, but i figure that you all understand why and Sir says it's my blog so i shouldn't feel guilty about not posting regularly, so i'm just going to continue with my policy of posting as and when i've got something to say and the time to say it, and hope that all my readers understand. And anyway, there's plenty of archived posts to keep you busy in the meantime! Sooooooooo there's only 5 more sleeps until our big day, and as i was telling flame last night it seems to have come round real quick, and i just can't believe that our big day is nearly here after 2 years' of preparation for it. Everything is absolutely ready - the dress, the rest of my outfit, the bridesmaids and page boys outfits, the suits, the flowers, the cake, the rings, the vows, the music, the reception, the butterflies, absolutely everythinggggggg but i still can't get rid of that nervy little flutter in the bottom of my tummy which tells me that something might go wrong. i'm notexactly expecting something to go wrong, just aware that it could and it makes me jittery and full of nervous excited energy all the time which i know must be hard to live with for all those around me. Even Poppy keeps looking at me funny like she can't quite work out what's up with her mummy, but then she goes happily back to whatever she was playing with before, and that's been a big help in keeping me grounded. And she was such a good girl at the rehearsal this weekend that a big weight has been lifted off my mind because i know she'll do just great on the actual day too. After our wedding we've booked into a lovely hotel for the night (with Poppy as well), then we've got a few days at home before our honeymoon cruise for 16 nights (which Poppy is also coming to). And while we're away the builders should be busy converting our garage so that it's all done by the time we get back.... hopefully. i'm so excited about everything, the day itself and the honeymoon after and the changes to our house, but the thing i'm most excited about is becoming Sir's wife, making that commitment to Him in front of all our family and friends, saying my vows and becoming wholly His in law as well as in slavery. i feel so lucky to have Him and i just know that He's the one i want to spend my whole life with, so getting married makes sense, even if the bonds are already there due to my collaring. Also (and i don't mean to offend anyone here) but i'd rather Poppy didn't grow up with an unmarried mother and father, i just think it's better all round for us to be married, and as it's what Sir wants too that takes any questions out of it as i'm just following His wishes! Not sure if i'll post again before the wedding, depends if i can get myself to sit down and concentrate enough, but i'll definitely post afterwards to let everyone know how it went. Bye for now xxxxxx

Quick life update

hiiiiiii everyone, long time no see! Thanks to all of you who left messages or emails checking that everything is OK because of my lack of posting recently. Everything is fine, i've just been super busy getting ready for the wedding and keeping Poppy out of trouble now she is walking and making sure some of my little ones at work are all prepared for their move to school in September! But i'm in a really good place at the moment, feeling relaxed and happy and contented and excited all at once, and enjoying the lovely hot weather we've been having recently, and spending lots of time with Sir and Poppy (and as much time with flame as i can) - so if anything the lack of blogging shows that things are more than OK :)

All the arrangements are pretty much in place for the wedding now - i've had my final dress fitting and so have my bridesmaids, Poppy had hers yesterday and she looked soooooo pretty, and i had a hair and make-up trial yesterday too and it looked fantastic :) Sir is picking up all the suits next weekend, then our butterflies get delivered the weekend after (we're doing a butterfly release after the ceremony and you got to look after them for a week beforehand), then the weekend after is the actual day! i can't believe it's come round so quickly, but i'm more than ready to be Sir's wife now, i've even been practicing my new signature! After the wedding me and Sir and Poppy are spending the night in a gorgeous country hotel nearby then we have a few nights at home before our honeymoon which is a cruise round the Mediterranean visiting 8 ports in 6 countries in 16 days!

Got to go now cos Poppy is raring to get into the garden and splash around in her paddling pool to enjoy the glorious sunshine again. But i'll try and pop back on later and write a post all about my training with Ma'am and how we have moved onto humiliation training recently. See you then!

Ohhhh i forgot to say that while we're on honeymoon we're having the builders in our house to convert the garage into a dining room with French windows which open onto the garden and a study area for Sir, so that His study upstairs can be converted back into a bedroom and the dining room inside can become Poppy's play room. Sir has arranged for people to come in and check on the builders while we're away, so that by the time we get back it should be all finished! Very excited :)
